Process Intensification Colloquium

The Process Intensification colloquium addresses recent advances as well as future challenges and opportunities in the field of process intensification (PI). The colloquium brings together internationally renowned researchers from industry and academia to discuss current PI topics. Invited talks of leading process intensificiation experts will give an excellent overview of the current status at the different process intensification scales, i.e., process level, equipment level, phase and transport level and molecular level. Participants from industry and academia are welcome to join the two-day colloquium. A poster session will give the participants the opportunity to present their recent work in the field of process intensification.

Registration: There will be no registration fee. However, due to room capacities, the number of participants is limited. For registration please .

Accomodation:  The hotel situation in Dortmund is difficult at the time of the colloquium. Therefore, we have reserved rooms in two different hotels for your convenience.

  • Coffee Fellows hotel: We have made limited room reservations with prices varying between 75 and 119 € depending on the room selection. In order to book a room in this hotel, you have to until the 27th of March 2019.
  • Hotel Esplanade (https://www.esplanade-dortmund.de/): We have organized a room contingent with rooms for 79 € (Ruhrpott rooms) or 99€ (First Class rooms). Please contact the hotel directly for booking. The contingent is valid until the first of April.

If not announced otherwise, the room fees are covered by the participants themselves. Dortmund charges in principle a bedding tax. However, the tax is not required in case of business trips. Therefore, the prices above do not include the bedding tax. Your hotel will help you to sign a respective document during your stay.

Workshop structure

Eight leading international experts from industry and academia present recent advances in the field of process intensification. Each presentation ends with a moderated discussion between all attendees. In addition, young researchers are given the opportunity to present their work during a poster session.
